Running Away From Returning Spouse?
After reading the post on "Letter to Wrong Wife," I remembered one about ... Down in Florida, a guy driving a SUV noticed a state trooper vehicle following him. He immediately began driving faster and all over the place, in an attempt to get away from the cop car. While driving, he kept asking himself, "Why am I doing this? What's wrong with me?" Shortly afterwards, he decided to stop his vehicle and face the officer for his disobeying the traffic laws. As the officer walked up to the SUV, the officer stated, "I can throw the book at you for everything you have done over the last several minutes. Before I begin writing the traffic tickets, can you tell me one real good eason why I should just give you a warning?" This guy sheepishly looked at the officer and said: "About ten years ago, my wife ran off with a Florida State Police Officer. I thought you were bringing her back to me." The officer told the guy that this was a good one, and to go on...but, be careful in the future. (All the time, the officer was laughing.) Needless to say, the guy received no traffic tickets whatsoever. (I didn't want to hijack the other post. So, I thought I would add it here.) |
