Feima Goes to Podium (the Ex City Worker Kandes Named in last Council Meeting)
Mr. Feima (spelling?) went to the podium to discuss an overview of the court work program that he handled prior to getting laid off. If you recall there was much discussion in last week's council meeting primarily because Councilman Vaslo and Kandes accused Councilman Murphy of cronyism and favoritism and jeopardizing the court work program. No on had mentioned Mr. Feima's name until Kandes spoke out about the letter Mr. Fiema sent withdrawing his application for the part time job. Mr Feima watched the last meeting and discussed the resolution dated 2.22.05 by Councilman Murphy...then Councilman Murphy got in touch with Mr. Fiema to ask if he was interested in putting his application in for the parttime court work program job just like Fiema did for us years ago with the court work program. Fiema told Murphy that he would be interested. Then following that Vaslo, his neighbor, told him that Mr. Murphy was going to put in a new resolution to work jointly with the city in order to hire court officer or from the court work program. Mr. Fiema said he put in his application no one made contact with him. Mr. Vaslo said to him that he would never get a shot at this job and that the judge told Valso that the court work program was cancelled. That is why Mr. Fiema sent the letter withdrawing his application - based on Vaslo's statements to him. He states that that contrary to the News Herald article, this was not a political move on Murphy's, Disanot's or his part that everyone was genuine in trying to make this court work program succeed. Despite Valso's and Kandes' comments in the newspaper. He states that Mr. Murphy never promised him the job at all and that his good friend Disanto never promised anything either.

Isn't this Feima (spelling) a relative to Judge Barjorek? I think we need some new blood brought into this job not a relative or Friend of the council lets get someone that wants to help Lincoln Park not look for brownie points and special favors. |

Mr Donald Fiema (correct spelling) must be the slowest public speaker I ever heard at the podium. He took five minutes and never got to the point. I hope he returns next Monday so I can find out what he wanted to say

I was excited when Don came to the podium. I was all set for something good. After the first minute I realized he was going to run out of time before he could make his point.

I figured the same thing as Don D. I did hear that he mispoke when he included Vaslo in, when he was giving Disanto and Murphy credit. I'm sure Vaslo didn't mind that. Once again the News Herald just can't seem to get the story right. No surprise there. I guess they prefer to sensationalize in what has almost turned out to be their weekly strafing of Murphy or Brady. |

I don't know this man, but I got the feeling that he was fine one way or the other. He has a job in Wyandotte. He heard the CW program was getting going again, and probably figured "I did this before and it is closer to home" so why not put in an app. Then he's told by vaslo there's no way in mongolia he would ever get that job, and the program was being cancelled....so he withdraws the app. I think he came to set the record straight on how things happened because the story that we heard, was JACKED UP. I don't think (based on what I heard him talking about) that he was all hung up on getting the job, He has a job. I think he heard the Faux Paus story that was going around about how it all went down, and came to state his experience with this whole situation. And I'm glad he did. Program being cancelled....Nice day. What a bunch of hogwash. |

This is what I got from Mr. Fiema's comments . He was a 25TH District Court employee ,and supervised the old court works program on weekends . He also worked part-time at the 27 TH District Court at the same time . He was laid off last year after 10 years with The 25 TH District . He now works full-time for the 27 TH District and was applying to supervise the 25 TH District part-time. Was he the same suffering Lincoln Park employee they described last week. Who also lives in Lincoln Park and whose family is also bearing the burden of his being laid -off by the Judges. Why can't they hire someone who has no job that is qualified ,or is making low wages that is qualified. Do you have to be a former employee to be considered . What's wrong with a qualified resident who is not one of the elite or backed by the elite of Lincoln Park. It's starting to look like there are more then just the NH doesn;t have all the facts. But ,remember it's election year ,and the votes of current and former employees is very critical to achieving re-election. I never heard he was related to Bajorek ,but Bajorek may have heard they would be hiring at the 27TH District at the time of his layoff. The courts are another elite group. If your not connected do not apply.
