Every year Lincoln Park Residents step up and help out people at Christmas the Goodfellows and Toys for Tot's are supported by the people of LincolnPark. And the people that Organize the efforts truly have a dedication to the true meaning of Christmas.

Thursday night I went to the concert at the High School and witnessed another example of the big hearts of Lincoln Park. The Band Association always uses the money from their basket auction ticket sales and 50/50 raffle to cover expenses of the music program . Not this year.

This year they added a bake sale and decided to not charge an admission , Instead they announced all procceeds would go to the Kopaz family . Mr Kopaz has been diagnosed with cancer ,and is in the Hospital,. He is a big supporter of the band , goes to band camp for a whole week with all those teenagers ,transports drums in his van to parades and competitions , in what the kids refer to as the KopazMobile. whatever needs to be done this man and his family are there .

All the proceeds from the basket auction, bake sale ,donations collected as the people left the auditorium.and 50/50 raffle. goes to the family to help them out. And the Lucky woman who won the$250 in the 50/50 ,donated her winnings,also.

the Lincoln Park High School Band Association not only Knows the true meaning of Christmas but set a fine example to all the students on how you keep it alive in Lincoln Park.

They did such a great job showing their support and their concern for Mr.Kopaz. The band has always reached out to help whoever need it though. They are a very giving group and a fine example of the students at Lincoln Park High School.
