What if you won the Lottery
you just won the Mega Millions Jackpot of 72million dollars Yes I know this is a little silly, but considering the past few weeks here, we need something light hearted and imaginative. What wishes would you have come true for yourselves and your families & Friends. Me I have so many things I want to do, too many to mention. I would like to see other peoples dreams of riches

Re: What if won the Lottery
The first thing I'd do is buy my grandmother a super nice Lincoln or Cadillac. Something big, safe and easy to get in and out of (she has an escort now). She also could use some updates on her home. I'd also pay off my Mom's house, and do the same for some other close relatives. I would also make a list of all the people that came and gave gifts at our Wedding and Wedding Shower, Baby Shower, etc, and give them all a fat check. This sounds a little egotistical, but I'd love to make a large donation to our church and my former grade school/junior high/high school and establish a scholarship fund. The egotistical part is I think it would be cool to donate a large sum and have a library or gym named after me. |

Re: What if won the Lottery
I would get a new house, boat, 4 wheeler, snowmobile, Harley, and pool. Then I would buy the fam a new house. Invest some. Gamble some. Have fun. And then go broke in a couple of years like some of those people you hear about. Then you'll see me on some talk show or telethon telling my sad story. |

Re: What if won the Lottery
I'd get my grandpa out of Marian Manor nursing home in Riverview and take care of him. I'd make sure to hire a nice nurse for him and I'd fix up a room for him. I'd set up a nice room for my grandma, too. *I would buy my brother and sister-in-law a nice house and a nice car (as I would my uncle), and the same for my parents, plus a recording studio for my dad. *I would set up a "trust fund" for my youngest cousin for about $250,000 to use for college/car/home once he turns 18. *I would give the parents of aforementioned cousin $500,000. *I would take all family members listed above on a nice, long vacation to Hawaii. *Lastly, I would use the money for my college tuition/books/clothes/etc., a car, and a trip for myself to the U.K. with some friends. Anything remaining would likely go to various charities. |

Re: What if won the Lottery
As for me, my personal plans only require $3 million (in today's dollars).
With my free time, I'd go back to school and secure a law degree. I'd enroll into martial arts. I might even make a run for State Govorner (only because I'd have the money to put up a good fight). I'd spend every weekend touring the town in a limo with my friends. I'd date hot women and take them to exotic places. Then I'd get stupid and marry one...and let her talk me out of a prenuptual agreement...only to have her divorce me three years later and take half of my earnings, including alimony...then I'd embark on a self-destructive path of booze and women...only to wake up one day at the age of 40...broke and alone...lying a pool of my own vomit without a penny to my name...screaming at strangers walking by me on the street and telling them how I was once king of the world.

Re: What if won the Lottery
I would pay off any debt I have and set up Trust funds for my kids and grandkids. I would take my whole family, to Hawaii for Christmas. I would buy my hubby the log home that he has been dreaming of. I would invest the majority of it. My one guilty pleasure would be to rent an intimate hall such as The Gem Theater and have U2 play for me and my friends. I would love to open a venue such as this here in LP as the Downriver area could really use a place for bands to play.

Re: What if won the Lottery
my husband and I dream about this all the time. We would pay off all our families debts, he'd buy an expensive car, he's not sure what kind yet. I would buy a farm and have a shelter for all animals who are unwanted for whatever reason and let them live out the rest of their lives. I'd also buy a horse for myself. We'd give some to our favorite charities and we even said we'd give some to L.P to improve our city. I'm not sure how much I've spent already but if I havent spent it all I'll really work hard at it |

Re: What if won the Lottery
I would buy enough politicians so that anything I wanted done would happen immeidatlety. they're cheap so Id still have a bunch of cash left. No one in my family would have to work again. I would hire a great finance guy so that if they played it right my great grandkids would just live to be rich and not have to struggle to get by.

Re: What if won the Lottery
a) buy up the first 2 blocks of Fort Street north of Southfield and restore ALL of the buildings. b) assemble a team of my architect friends for the architectural work; Jim Ryan, JPRA Architects, who designed Somerset Collection for the retail spaces. Victor Saroki of Victor Saroki Architects, who designed Tribute and the Birmingham Theater for the exterior historic renovations and any restaurant work. Guss Pappas of Constantine George Pappas Architects who is renowned for church design to design a church for the church that I re-locate from Sims Building. c) a lot for that church d) Add a dining room and a 2nd floor to my house. e) Buy a condo or historic row house in Center City Philly so I can visit my relatives often. f) Buy a place at the Jersey Shore for my summers! g) a years worth of Three Dog Bakery treats for my dog! h) Pet groomer for my dog and cat so that I never have to bathe them again! |
