construction
My concern with the Fort Street road work is when I see middle and High Schoolers who live across Fort Street try to manuever around the construction to go to school Some kid will get hurt as I don't see anywhere for pedestrians to cross in the Champaign vicinity. The timing of this project, along with the Mixter area crosswalk project boggles me. They do not start this construction until just prior to school beginning and then do not finish it. |

How about at Mixter Elem. They had all this time to get the intersection done and waited till just before school started Now they have the parking area blocked off at the exit Real bright leaders we have Every year the same old stuff Start construction late or not at all Funny how other cities don't seem to have this same type of problem |

I saw they had the curb poured and they were spraying some white stuff on it, anyone know what the white stuff is?

The white stuff is sealer unless it is large spots, then its Sea gulls the Fort St project will be over mid-October to the end .depending on the rain. the city engineer does not work for the County . Fort St. is a County project they are doing for the State.

The white stuff is called calcium chloride It seals in the misture to help it cure properly |
