Kudos to Kandes
Just received your flyer this past weekend. It was clear, concise, well-written and no spelling or grammatical errors. You expressed some viewpoints, accomplishments and plans for the future if re-elected. I was very impressed. And kudos to you on having earned a masters degree and working toward a doctorate. It shows. |

I got one too, in my mailbox. Seems to me I remember someone was scolded by the USPS for doing something along those lines.

I thought it was well-written. So what does that prove. E & S, if you thought it was that great, you could have thanked him yourself, you'll be seeing him at the council meeting. Your post was just a ploy to get him some more exposure, nothing more. You should have gotten your buddy Alley to write an article about how good Kandes's literature was, since he's not interested in writing anything that would better inform the public about his other antics. |

When are the other candidates coming? Election is right around the corner. I have seen nothing from Mr Rutherford or Mr Nelligan or Mr Sochocki. Until today I heard nothing of Mr Kandes.

It will balance out the discrediting you dole out to other candidates. No other councilmember or council challenger can hold a candle to Kandes' intelligence and well-informed thoughts. |

About the road paving thing, I hope the issue comes up at tonight's meeting even though I expect to be tied up so I won't be viewing it. Hopefully something will be on ylp tomorrow about it. I did see the council meeting last week. I didn't get any sense that anyone did anything underhanded or wrong. I think that Brady's "serious" attitude and "challenging" demeanor and "implications" that something was not on the up and up stirred some questions and suspicions.That's all I think it was. |

Well when city funds are redirected and used to pave certain roads that council members and members of their extended family live on without a vote from the council...it raises a few red flags. I heard a rumor about something interesting that may be presented during tonights meeting that clearly explains how this situation unfolded. It's too bad you can't watch it. Though if this evidence is brought out tonight, I'm sure you can read all about it tomorrow.

At the council meeting tonight, Oct 24th, Mr Kandas suggest that this issue of paving sections of Cloverlawn and Capital being brought up is just politics ($10,000-$30,000 worth of politics) but can not explain why there was no change resolution authorizing this work by council in an open public forum. He did confirm that he and his in-laws live on those streets, but the work was not done in front of their homes. But I would have to guess they do drive on those sections that were re-done.

It is suspicious that of all the bad streets in LP, these are 2 that get fixed.

Finally the city is fixing my street, MArkese (between dix and Riopelle) the sewer drain and concrete have been broken for over a year. |
