No Kohl's either
We were at the new World Market in AP at the new shopping Center, we talked with a manager, and it looks like they are getting a New Kohls, and possibly a Steve n Berry's and either a circuit city or a Best Buy!! So I guess we can scratch these off of our list. Rocky |

Does Lincoln Park even have an area big enough for a large store like Kohls? Allen Park happened to have all that property from the VA hospital to build all of these stores. |

That's sad. Looks like our leaders have alienated the developers and major contractors,with their cronyism and attacks. Word travels fast about cities that are uncooperative and a legal liability. It'll be hard to get some one to build a 2 seater outhouse for Councilpoint Park near the ballfields Forget about a new Store or Restaurant. Before any one says it was Duchane's fault. Let me remind you , It was people on this council that made it imposible for him to wine and dine prospestive projects . All you get for a Coney Dog at Ray's on Fort is another Dollar Store. Ask Former Mayor Sabuda or current Mayor DeSana. Men's Warehouse in Dearborn was maybe a dinner at the Hyatt or at least lunch at Cheli's Chili Bar a few times. You don't get Prime Rib with $ 3 in your pocket.

We have the back of the Plaza's parking lot . You could rework the Buidings on the North of the Sears Center or the South and West ends of Meijer. When are those lots full Not even at Christmas there is a big lot behind the theatre that is never used anymore. The city chose a lawsuit and cronyism over one large store and 4-5 smaller buildins for Fort and Southfield . Allen Park just made $1.5 million on a lot The owners of the Plaza and Sears could very easily increase their monthly income and Meijer could cut their costs too. |

Duchane is able to wine and dine businesses, he just needs approval to say that its impossible would be totally wrong.

KOHLS?! I LOVE kohls!!!!! I have applied to seirously every store out there! And their Target has a Starbucks AND pizza hut! A new Kohl's would just complete it!

The Sears Plaza has gone you know where in a handbasket. That place is a horrible place to shop. All the good stores are moving out and all the horrible ones are staying. The only nice store left is Sears and even that is not that amazing anymore. Their sections have decreased and their quality has also. It makes the city look horrible. My friend (she is from Allen Park) and I were driving through the city on the way to her work and she looked at the Sears Plaza and asked me what in the world was in there. I told her and she said "That looks really bad, it looks run down." I agree. I think Fort Street looks terrible with all those empty buildings also. If they are empty they could at least be fixed up to look like someone gives a two cents about them. That all for me.

Not to mention also that Lincoln Park has horrible job oppurtunities for teenagers. We all have to go to the mall or the new plazas in Allen Park and what not. There is nothing here anymore except for fast food and unorganized department stores. |
