Farewell our beloved Uncle Don
Our Uncle Don, more like a father to my Michael than an uncle, passed away tonight shortly after 11:00 p.m. he was 75 years old. Uncle Don led a full and happy life and died peacefully in his sleep at home with his wife and children. Though he was given only two or less months to live two weeks ago, he accepted that his time with us was nearing an end and he made peace with that last Tuesday. By God's grace, my hubby was able to see his father like uncle one last time to share a few moments that only a son and father could share. Uncle Don is survived by his wife, Diane - two daughters, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren, his nephew Michael (hubby) and niece Charlene. Rest easy, dear Uncle. Your pain is now gone and you are free.

When one has endured the loss of a loved one, you must remember that they will always be there with you as long as you hold on to the fond memories of their laughter and smiles. My prayers are with you and your family.

Re: Farewell our beloved Uncle Don
We had a wonderful memorial to celebrate our dear Uncle Don this weekend. I have attached his "farewell" to our family of which Uncle Don wrote himself. He made peace with his dying and wanted everyone to celebrate his life with us. Death isn't the end. Farewell Beloved Uncle Don until we see you again.
