Lincoln Park Crime News 10/29/2005
Notes from "The Blotter" of the News Herald A husband and wife woke up at about 5am last Sunday to find a stranger sitting in the living room of their house in the 1400 block of Champaign After hearing some noises, the couple looked around and discovered the man, who told them he was looking for his cat. It's unknown how long he had been there, but the couple said they later discovered that he had turned on and used their home computer, as well as had taken a pizza out of their refrigerator. The man, who was highly intoxicated, was arrested for home invasion.

A man on a motorcycle snatched a purse off the shoulder of a woman riding a bicycle near Fort and Warwick at about 7pm last Sunday. She said he slowed down as he approached her, grabbed it and sped off. |

The windows of four vehicles parked in the 2100 block of Keppen were shot out with a BB gun last Sunday. All of the incidences were reported to police between 11 and 11:30pm. |

Four Detroit men believed to be responsible for a rash of vehicle break-ins have been arrested. The men, ages 30, 33, 34 amd 44 were arrested at about 2am Tuesday for allegedly breaking into a vehicle in the 1700 block of London. The men threw a large rock through the vehicle's window to get inside, police said. Police believe they also are responsible for a number of similar break-ins, including two last Sunday. One occurred in the 1400 block of Progress and the other in the 4000 block of Fort Charges are pending against the men. Police are continuing to investigate. |

Does anyone know how many calls for service by shift that the police answer? Annual figures would be nice.

Hancock used to give the figures out in her report . Depalma would do a Dps report and end with "we do good work"
