Sun Tan City
I just started tanning for prom and I found a place on Dix called Sun Tan City. Their prices are awesome and so are their beds. Their monthly package is only $19.95 and for a bronzer bed (a bed that tans you faster and has much stronger bulbs) it is only a dollar every time you go. Their lotions are amazing and cheap. I got a full bottle of my new favorite tanning lotion for only $12. I went to another place to look for tanning lotions and that same kind was $22! The place is clean and they are very sanitary. The beds are cleaned like crazy after use and they even vacuum the floors after the beds are used. They are friendly and courteous and I love their beds. They are so comfy and have an opening so you dont feel confined (although I did get burnt today). So check it out, have fun.

Re: Sun Tan City
I always wondered why people just invite skin cancer in by forcing themselves into the rays. I know that some spray or mist on tans are good and safe. I always just thought that laying out in the sun or a tanning bed is just an invitiation ( about my spelling, I'm tired! ) for skin cancer. Maybe I am just old fashioned...

Re: Sun Tan City
I'm glad you said something, lpgur106, because I was thinking the same thing! TANNING AGES!! Look at any lady who has spent their lives tanning and you'll find a lady with skin like leather - but tanned! TANNING CAUSES SKIN CANCER!!! My dad has had some sunspots taken off his face. One was cancerous and he had to have some plastic surgery to replace the cancerous skin that was removed. I've never been able to get a tan. I find laying out quite boring. I try to keep sunblock on myself when out in the sun because I burn. I'm only 45 but many people think I'm in my 30's. I figure it is because I've never had a tan!! |

Re: Sun Tan City
I wish the City Council would outlaw such places.

Re: Sun Tan City
My wife is very light skinned, her Doctor and her mothers Doctor both said that, utilizing a tanning salon in real carefull short term usage to help her get a light tan would be good for her. When the Skin tans it is protecting its self, when you tan in a controled inviroment it can help to keep you from getting severly burned in the sun, ever since my wife started doing it real slow in a booth about 5 years ago she hasn't gotten a severe Sunburn while doing yeard work, it is the severe burns that raise you likely hood of getting cancer. Of course there are people who can't control themselve and fry themselves in the booths, which will lead to skin cancer, or looking like you are 20 years older than you are!!! Rocky |

LiLmanie 06 I go to that place too they are awesome, I know tanning is bad on you but i think i look a lot better with a tan. They also have beds out that are safe, i forget what they are called you get a tan minus the uv rays and they also offer sunless tanning, which is done with something like air brushing i tried it somewhere else it looked really good if you have a base tan. |

Like anything else Mr. Magoo the people abuse it, they may Tan at your place today and somewhere else tommarow, like you said some people NOT ALL but some are very superfical and will do anything to look the way they think they should or worse yet the way others think they should look. Its like anything else if used in Modration and properly it isn't all that bad, but people are people some will abuse it and those are probably the ones that years later will sue!! Rocky |
