Delivering The Happenings for the City
I just got back from delivering the what's happenings flyers and I cannot believe the way some people live. The one house I went up to had dead rats on the front lawn, the porch was covered with garbage and maybe it was pet food too(not sure). The smell coming from the house was awful. Some of the porches are so torn up, that I was afraid to walk up them. Same with the sidewalks. I feel for the mail carriers. What a disgrace to our city! |

Pride won't do much about rats, the city does not want the Liability!!!!! If they are going to ticket for dead rats, why won't they act on the living ones that are the problem in the city!!! Have a wonderfull afternoon!

That is strange when i called pride about a house that was forclosed they were on it immediatly, we kept smelling something horrible and come to find out there was a dead possum or a cat in the pool that was abandoned,maybe you should talk to them in person that is how i didi it. LP pride is a awesome program in my opinion. |

Lp Pride takes too long to get to the problem. We arent supposed to put signs on city property, like garage sale etc. I see so many doesnt the ordinance officer? Everyone complains about the north end but the south end isnt much better. Lp used to be the best city around here, but not anymore. |

does lincoln park have an ordinance officer?????? never seen any signs of one, and if we do have one maybe we should consider hiring a new one with sight. sure wish they would tear down that hobo hotel on the corner of dix and goddard. |

If a mod wants to split this off it's fine with me 'cuz I'm gonna hijack the thread slightly.... but couldn't the folks in charge of printing The Happenings find a photo from LP to put on the cover? I get tired of seeing LP publications with photos that aren't from LP. It almost says that there isn't anything worth visiting or seeing in LP so we're gonna show you something else. |

Sounds like an item to place on the "How am I doing cards" or whatever Mr Duchane called them. Or did the city management stop the comment card program. I never thought about this until I seen the post here. I believe there are plenty of nice views in our city they could have used. |

If the periodical was named "Whats NOT happening", I imagine there could be allot of choices for a front cover also.
