What are you looking for in a candidate?
What are some of the for lack of a better word "deal breaker" that have you voting for one candidate over the other?

Not a self-deserving/gratification ego (at least not shown to the public). |

The ability to weigh all options with an open mind, and vote independently, not with a group. To have honesty and be a good listener. |

Re: What are you looking for in a candidate?
. I gave up looking for a candidate that will answer issues, so I will vote for the first one that agrees that every Tuesday for the next two years will be Sci-Fi double feature night on the Lincoln Park Government channel!.

I call it Comedy Hour, but without the comedy. My wife is hooked, she has to see her "Spicey Meatball" Mario. |

If you had a candidate without any political experience, but plenty of honesty and compassion, would you consider this person for your vote? |

It's the same philosophy in business: You cannot train someone to learn ethics and values...it is something they must bring to the table themselves. Knowledge can be taught and learned...a persons character cannot. Vaslo is a moderately intelligent boy...but he's as shallow as a puddle. Higgins, on the other hand, doesn't strike me as being the smartest on the council...but he has a great moral character and he is passionate about this city. |

Well Vaslo calls the council meeting a "show". Maybe the next resolution he'll bring to the table will be to rename Monday Council Meetings to "The Vaslo Show". That would put the number of resolutions that he's brought to the table up to a whole whopping two. The entertainment act will consist of people speaking the truth to him so we can all watch his silly face contortions. Maybe audience members can play "Guess That Lie!" They would listen to him "Uhhhh", "Ahhhh", and "Ummmm" for 5 minutes...then audience members could take turns trying to guess what the heck is trying to say. The first one to guess correctly wins, you've guessed it, a bag of peanuts! Come one...come all! It's The Vaslo Show! Yay! |
