Very glad to see the students have returned to the classroom. Because of "spring break" the fast food restaurants were using a lot of the "teen help" during the daytime last week. PROBLEMS were rampant.

I hope their time off have motivated them to study during their last couple of months of school.

Reefers were only smoked by who we called "beatniks" The regular high school student did not use drugs.

There used to be a small "mom and pop" store on the corner of Champagne and Fort Park. Rumors was that mom and pop were caught selling marijuana to high school kids. This was before drugs became a problem in the mid 60s. As I remember, this incident occurred around 1961.

Of course in my day we did have some individuals who tried to get alcohol, but usually it would be 6 kids trying to get drunk on one bottle of beer.

Your comment about "sweets" is erroneous; there is a closer link to the amount of milk a person drinks and their acne. No proof exists of anything else in the diet linked to acne.
