Anyone remember the trampoline center on Goddard at Droulliard (block west of Fort, near where the McDonalds is now)? The trampoline center was there from 1961 to the end of the summer of 1963. It was a huge success the first year. In the evening they had long lines of people waiting to jump. It was pretty dead the next couple of summers. One of the cool things was you would go there in the evening and see a bunch of your friends from school. With school being out you didn't see everyone all the time. After the summer of 1963 they had to close. Business was way off. Also, there were so many people that got injured I am surprised they never got sued, but that was a different time. You just didn't sue some place because you broke your leg in two places on their equipment. The place is long gone. An apartment building is there now. Now there are apartment buildings on Goddard (along the creek) from Fort to Dix. Back then none of those apartments were there. The creek was our playground. There was aanother trampoline center at the minature golf place on Goddard and Reeck Road. They alsos had batting cages.

Wow I didnt know we had a trampoline center. Where did it go? That sucks that its not around anymore. That would be awesome to have a trampoline center. Ive only heard of one trampline type thing and its by my dads house on Van Born. Its an awesome place but I dont go there a lot now that I dont live with my dad...

I didnt know they had classes for the trampoline? Was it to learn how to flip and stuff? Because when I was into dancing and cheerleading and all that we took a class at Downriver Gymnastics to learn how to tuck and stuff.
