She posted as much here too. I think it's good idea. Nice idea for the proposed gas station site.

Re: Eureka Farmers Market
Cracker Jack. The wife and I will be checking this out tomorrow. What has happened to all the fruit markets that once were in LP and the Downriver area? The two in LP are now a flower shop and some sort of Christian Biker store. Andy's Market has been long deserted at Northline and Allen Road. In this day of "eating healthy" I am surprised fruit markets have a hard time staying in business.

Re: Eureka Farmers Market
Leslie, have you ever checked in with Southgate or AP to see what they do to attract businesses? |

How was it? I didn't know that it was open. Could it be that the shelf life of produce isn't very long? Just a thought. |

Re: Eureka Farmers Market
My experience with Block's isn't a good one. I called on a weekend to ask if they had corn on the cob before I drove out there and they said yes. Then there was a sign that said for the premature corn, better corn mid-week. Even with their bargins I won't waste my time with the place. |

Re: Eureka Farmers Market
Sorry to hear that. I have always had good luck with them. Even going there as a kid with my mom. |

Re: Eureka Farmers Market
I know a lot of people that like Block's. It's just me, but when you have a bad experience sometimes no matter how small it is you hold it against the place. |

No, but I heard from someone yesterday that Dearborn Heights has an awesome person to recruit new businesses. It would be interesting to check with other cities to see how they recruit new businesses! |
