GELC Agenda Item Meeting August 29 2005
With the resignation of Vic Rose, M&C decided to not fill that superintendent position but rather hire to dept supervisors. The position of Vic Rose was created by Duchane and approved by M&C. It appears that that this idea was a failure and M&C are moving back to the way it was structured as it relates to no Superintendent and additional supervisors. The mechanics job opening is still available. So.... we offered the ERI to all of our experienced employees, hired outside of LP at top dollar, and now are having trouble filling the positions that are now open as a result of the ERI. What is wrong with this picture? We did the ERI for what reason again? Oh yeah, to cut our budget......funny but I don't think when the M&C finally tell us the truth on the numbers that this will be the case. Your thoughts?
