Planning Commission meetings are held every first Tuesday of the month. All applications are required to be submitted thirty days prior to the meeting date.
Rental Properties are required to be registered every year and inspected every two years.
Zoning Board of Appeals meetings are held every third Thursday of the month. All applications are required to be submitted thirty days prior to the meeting date.
Commercial Properties are required to obtain a certificate of occupancy. Application must be made before operating the business.
Dangerous Building Board & Code of Appeals (review the Lincoln Park City Charter 1422 for more details) meets every three months or as needed. Properties that are deemed dangerous are submitted to the board for appropriate action.
Inspections for electrical, mechanical and plumbing permits are performed in the mornings between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm.
Structural permit inspections are performed between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm.

Permits are required for most types of home repairs/alterations. Contractors are required to register their license and insurance prior to pulling permits.

Certificate of Occupancy Inspection fees are based on the square footage of the building as follows:
Not exceeding 2,000 sq. ft. = $150.00
2,001 - 5,000 sq. ft. = $200.00
5,001 - 10,000 sq. ft. = $250.00
over 10,000 sq. ft. = $300.00
Rental Inspection Rates(payable every three years and subject to change at any time)
= $210.00 for first unit
= $50.00 for any additional unit
