City of Lincoln Park City Clerk

The City Clerk's Office is responsible for various services for the Lincoln Park Residents. In addition, the City Clerk attends Council Meetings and handles the administrative duties.

The Clerk's Office began maintaining the actions of Council in June of 1921.  All records are current and open for public review.

Lincoln Park Michigan Clerk's Office and City Resources & Information  Dog Licenses
all dogs 6 months and older must be licensed. Due date for the purchase of  tags is June 1st. They may be purchased beginning May 1st, and a late fee will be assessed if purchased after the due date.

to insure that customers doing business with Lincoln Park establishments have the ability to find information regarding a particular business.

Peddler - Hawkers - Solicitors - Public Vehicle Drivers - Taxi Cab Co - Vendors - Used Auto Dealers - Junk Dealers - Christmas Tree Lots - Door to Door Sales and many other specialty Licenses are required prior to beginning operation in the City of Lincoln Park. Permits/Licensing can be obtained (if approved)  from the City Clerk's Office.

Any resident of the City of Lincoln Park who is a citizen of the United States and 18 years of age may register to vote at the City Clerk's Office, Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. til  4 p.m.

Info & Ordering  Birth & Death Certificates

You may apply for a birth / death certificate by mail or in person at the City Clerk's Office. Charter 203 City Records

You will need the following to process your request:

  • NAME AT BIRTH:  First, Middle, Last
  • DATE OF BIRTH:   Month, Day, Year
  • MOTHER'S MAIDEN NAME: First, Middle, Last
  • FATHER'S NAME:  First, Middle, Last
  • APPLICANT'S PRESENT ADDRESS:
    • YOUR  PHONE Number
    • APPLICANT'S SIGNATURE: 
    • DATE 

Birth certificates are issued ONLY to the individual, the parent(s) named on the record, any heir, legal guardian, or a court of competent jurisdiction.  Legal representatives must state whom they are representing and have verification thereof.

FEE:  $15.00 for one certified copy and $5.00 for each additional obtained at the same time. Fees are subject to change. Contact the City Clerk for current fees.

  • IF REQUEST IS BY MAIL, please send MONEY ORDER for the amount, a copy of the applicant's driver's license and enclose a stamped self-addressed envelope. Questions, please call (313) 386-1800 Ext. 248.
