Thank you Mr. Vaslo
The other day I got a package from Mr. Vaslo. . I got a pencil, paper and a nail file. That was very thoughtful of him. The letter told of all of his accomplishments while being on council. Just think of what he will be able to do in the next two years. |

Maybe if you were nicer to Mr. Vaslo, you would have gotten one. With the way some of you treat Mr. Vaslo, I wonder why he would even bother to go out of his way to be kind to others. |

To my knowledge, the only accomplishment he has is keeping only one campaign promise and that is the campaign sign one.

Vaslo went right down the voter list for those drop-offs. If there were two voters, two of each iterm were in the envelope. That must mean you don't vote Jane, otherwise you would have received double, and the envelope with the pre-printed sticker would have been addressed to both of you. Other couple friends of mine who both vote got two of everything, and the sticker was addressed to both of them. Those pre-printed stickers of people that voted are purchased from the city clerk so candidates don't waste their money on people who don't vote. So your boy wasn't being nice. Being nice would have been passing them out to every household. Looks like you got short-changed there Jane.  to the club, we all got short-changed the day he took office, it's been going down-hill since. |

Vaslo did mention he would like to do something about putting Lincoln Pakers to work for the contractors doing work in LP. He did set up a "gentlemen's agreement" with the contractors to use day labor through Labor Ready and to request LP Residents. There was no penalty if the contractor did not go along with it. From what I told, the Gentlemen's Agreement was pretty well ignored and Vaslo dropped it all together. But I will give the devil his due and point out that he at least made the attempt.

That's what the politicians do in AP, also. They come to the Clerk's office and ask for a copy of all Absentee Voters, then they will come in later and ask for all Registered Voters. They like to get the Absentees first, in AP anyway. |

Absentees receive their ballots first and often mark their ballots and return them weeks before the actual election. Candidates know this, so they get their literature out way before the election to attract those voters. In a lot of communities, absentee voters can amount for about half of all the entire turnout. |
