Re: Can I ask a question?
Nothing. It's naturally that curly. Thats what happens when I don't spend hours yanking -- tugging and straightening the curls. |

Re: Can I ask a question?
Maybe you could consider the Sinéad O'Connor style. No "hours yanking -- tugging and straightening the curls."

Hey, Ms. Brady, how can you find time to talk about your hair when you can't formulate a response to my question about your plans for the revitalization of downtown LP? |

Re: Can I ask a question?
Robbie, During my two years on council I have made it a point to never talk mean or insulting to a resident. I try to listen until they feel heard and offer my assistance if it is within my power to do so. I always try to show them respect and listen. I take into account that the resident is frustrated with a situation and it's not neccessarily myself or any member of council. This is not the case with jijitsu and no amount of me listening or responding will console this individual. This person is on a personal mission, with a personal vendetta. I have made several attempts to very many posts by jijitsu. Mostly to insane accusations, assumptions, and just plain games. As I am sure you and everyone has seen. I have been patient and responsive to most of these mean spirited posts for quite a period of time. I make sure I take the time to allow for another venue for residents to contact me. Participartion on the site allows for this. And I enjoy it for the most part. Participation here on is not a requirement in fulfilling my duties as a leader. It is something I do that goes above and beyond my duties. Because I care. It should not be used as a playing field for a personal attack agenda. And anyone who partcipates here can visibly see this is this persons mission. While everyone else may choose to indulge jijitsu, that is your choice. I will not. There are too many people here on the site with real concerns and real questions and REAL needs. And that is where I will focus my energies. |

Re: Can I ask a question?
I don't want to get in the middle of an argument, but I would like to hear your answer, Val. If it is permissible to you, may *I* ask the question and get a reply? I don't think it should matter who asks as long as the question is applicable. And the question is simple .. what is your vision for trying to redevelop the area that some people call downtown Lincoln Park? (I say some people because honestly, there's not a lot down there to lure people to the area, so to others, it's just a few blocks of concrete and a few businesses interspersed along the way.) |

Re: Can I ask a question?
Good Response Val. Much more than Jujitsu deserved all things considered. If you're so adamant about getting a response, why don't you call and leave her a message, so she can call you back. Never mind, We all know why you don't want her to call you back personally. Or better yet catch her at a council meeting. Never mind, that wouldn't work either. I guess you'll have to think up a new tactic to try and embarrass her. |

Re: Can I ask a question?
That seems simple enough Jujitsu. If you won't call her and leave her a message or go to a council meeting then drop it. Thinking it over for a while tonight, I admit, there must be a personal agenda with constantly badgering her here. This thread is not about the continuation of your previous thread that was closed. |

Re: Can I ask a question?
Can you have someone look at the sidewalks on both sides of Howard at the bridge over the creek? People in wheel chairs have to ride the street there because the walks are so bad for them. Thanks. Also does no parking signs on certain days supposed to be the same day as trash pick-up? Thanks again |

Re: Can I ask a question?
The question has been asked of all the councilpeople who participate on ylp. Rather than answer, it apparently is easier to deflect the question by stating that I have an agenda. How ridiculous. Nice way to get out of answering a direct question. |

It would be Howard between Ford Blvd and St Johns. I would say the 4000 block of Howard.

Bout Darn Time Ms. Brady. Elected or not your still human and do not have to put up with that crud! I say you have treated that person with more respect than you should have. More than what you surely have received. Maybe that person will fall off the face of the earth since they know you are not going to play with them anymore.! I will be missing you jijitsu, but I cannot do it till your gone. hint hint |
