Residents go to Podium August 22 2005

Mr. Kudrick went to podium because yet again the City of Lincoln Park is being sued because of misconduct. He states this is the third suit like this.

He basically went over the article and when done, was told by Mayor Brown that this is open litigation and cannot be discussed.

Treasurer Candidate, Michael Myers went to the Cruise Committee windup meeting in place of Councilman Murphy and provided the information and the scheduled meetings to M&C.

I have his notes and will post them in the Cruise Committee section.

Here are a couple of things that I can recall:
NH Rep said that NH lost money on the cruise in all the cities this year.

Committee wants to meet with area Mayors in Decemeber on getting the Mayors to buy in on this idea and help promote it better

Committee states that road work on Fort Street will NOT be done in 2006 but is scheduled for 2007 which means the cruise will not be eliminated in 2006 for road issues.

Mr Popowitz (sp?) went to podium (Progress Ave area) because the amount of rat problems. He states that he sees them coming from the trailer park and they are getting higher in numbers and are a real issue.

Mayor Brown explained that the trailer parks are out of city's juridication (I will find a topic from last year where I confirmed this when Kandes was talking about this) but that he suggested he call the Pride Dept and catch State Rep Ed Clemente to see if he could get involved because of the trailer park part in this.

I edited the above post because I submitted it by accident and still had one more resident to podium info.

I think that was the meeting for all the cities, not the one for LP only.

Re: Residents go to Podium August 22 2005

I must admit I did not miss having to suffer through unkempt residents going to the podium and not showing proper respect to our elected officials.

With the said.

How dare Mr Kudrick attack our police department based on the allegations of a lawsuit. He is old enough to realize you do not take lawsuit allegations as the gospel. What is wrong with him?

The News Herald had a story on the allegations. It was not meant to be the whole story. With the city being unable to tell their side of the story (because of the lawsuit) we can only hear one version.

I see Mr Myers found a reason to go to the podium. You can bet all the candidates will find a reason to be seen on camera at the podium in the coming weeks. I am sure Mr Rutherford will have yet another story to "enlighten" us with.

This rat problem must be dealt with immediately. Glad to hear Mr Clemente is going to take decisive action.
