As we get into the actual campaigning for our City, I was thinking that a twice a month opinion poll would go hand in hand with the incumbant campaign sites.

These polls will be interesting to see how our opinions may or may not change depending on the campaigns, etc.

The polling information is available to anyone that wants to see it, unregistered visitors included. I can only make this information available, I can't make people read it.

We have newspaper reporters that gather information for their stories in the forums and look to things like polls to add value to some of the articles.

We have always had polls, I just thought that doing one a couple times a month would be interesting....it wasn't a mandate only a "I wonder on these opinions will change once some candidates start slinging mud and how each candidate handles the questions on the very important issue of the international bridge" kinda thing.

Bi-Monthly = Every 2 months
Semi-Monthly = Twice a month

The easier way to put it would be to say bi-weekly (every two weeks).

Bi-Monthly is twice a month, just look at your Mortgage company's that offer bi-Monthly paymts ( 2 pymts per month ) Sorry I was trying to be a smart aleck..........

It's not. Semi-annual is twice per year...bi-annual is once every two years.

What is a bicentennial? The marking of 200 years passed.

Many consumers incorrectly refer to it as a bi-monthly payment...but it's actually a bi-weekly payment. Check the statements of mortgage companies offering this program...it should say bi-weekly.

The easy way to remember this:

"bi" = "by two". For example, "bisexual" refers to "both sexes".

"semi" = "by half". For example, "semicircle" refers to a "half circle".

I believe this poll is still open...but if you've already voted, you can't vote again.

Maybe a new poll needs to be created? Perhaps insert a link to the new poll in the candidate profile pages? And maybe the new poll will be reset every few weeks (which is what I think your intention was)...but have a running static average of the previous polls combined?

I saw your impatience on another thread as well...where you sent a PM to a moderator and complained about not getting a response. I think you fail to realize that the moderators and owner of this site do have lives and families. It is Labor Day Weekend. Allow me to appologize on their behalf for not sitting by the computer waiting for you to PM them demanding concerns and issues to be addressed.

Before you start with this kind of nonsense...look around. I haven't seen a moderator post anything all day. Could that be a clue that perhaps they're not around?
