After serving the educational needs of Lincoln Park's youth for more than 30 years, Huff Junior High School takes it's final bow.
Rubble is it's legacy -- at least for a few more days -- but the memories will linger. Closed in 1981 due to declining enrollment, the building was ordered razed by the school board earlier this year after the board failed to come up with neither buyer, renter nor taker. That and the cost to heat the three-story structure led to it's demise.
