Is Disanto running for Council?
I have not seen any signs for him. In fact, the only mention I heard about him running again is from Magoo. Heck, I have only seen 2 signs for Vaslo and those were home made, non union and one was removed.

Re: Is Disanto running for Council?
Please. The man left for Italy soon after the Primary. Let him return before he mounts his campaign. We all know he will retain his seat. The only question is whether he will finish 1st or 2nd

Re: Is Disanto running for Council?
If a real leader needs signs to get re-elected . They were not much of a leader. Their actions should say all we need to see. Not their name plastered all over the streets of the city creating eye pollution. Disanto stated before the Primary .If the people want him back they will vote for him . If they don't that's OK too. He will still continue to work to improve what he can. I think he is really fed up with the finger pointing whiners ,they only have two priorities their personal success and the needs of their friends. The average residents needs are third on their list, like they really care what all the people want as long as their agendas are covered. Beyond that they don't give a rat's behind.

Re: Is Disanto running for Council?
Sorry I have been working on my incumbent project and didnt see this til now. I spoke with Councilman Disanto and he decided that he was not going to put up/pass out his reelection signs until after the primary and his return from his trip. If anyone wants signs from any candidate I posted contact info in the signs topic in this forum or you can email or pm me and I will get that info to the candidate of your choice.

I just seen this post..... Right on!!! I have seen Councilman Disanto several times over the course of the last couple of years and despite the "tree" incident and that he mostly moves or supports on housekeeping issues, he has ALWAYS asked the tough questions and does keep an eye on the taxpayer's money. There have been some times that he was a bit off base but the sentiment was there and that is to save $$ where we can and make Lincoln Park a great place to live. He has a stake in this community --- one that has been important to him since the 50s (I think it was the 50's that he moved here) - his business; his family; his grandchildren ...... he like many of us have deep roots here. For that I commend Councilman Disanto (though I am still a bit ticked over taking down that heathly tree but ah well....if that's the worse he has done.... then he is doing a thousand times better then some of his peers.) Our community needs leaders that REALLY want to make our community the best it can be. The time for seat warmers on our council is LONG OVER. This 2005 administration will be the leaded weight that pulls the city further down or it will be the let's get it together and rebuild this community before it's too late.... the time for procrastination is OVER. We need LEADERS not people using our time and money to catupult them into State Rep or Senator. We need to worry and take care of business HERE - FIRST. I think Disanto is the conscious of our city leaders...he certainly gets to the point when it comes to wasteful spending, etc. (Yes, Councilman Disanto you may use that term "Disanto the Conscious of our Council")... I kinda like that......... Mr. Magoo must be rubbing off on me. |

Re: Is Disanto running for Council?
No you don't throw the chair . It's to remind everyone if they don't shape up and find ways of saving the city money their chair can be folded up and they could be somewhere else tomorrow ,if they aren't efficient. The taxpayers have sat back and put up with their failure to get the job done, and want to see improvement or someone needs to go . The monkey is to warn an elected official or employee to stop monkeying around with the residents Tax Money. They need to come up with solutions to move the city forward. They all need to focus on City business not monkey business. |
