I strongly suggest that everyone attend these functions as you may get the chance to meet Councilman Vaslo in person. I'm confident that he will be in attendence. |

Re: Residents to the podium & Fundraisers September 19, 2005
Boring night for people at the podium. They all wanted money Except for the person complaining about the lack of police responding. That was pretty good. Where is Pat Roberts? Where is John Nelligan? Where is Jim Rutherford? More importantly, where are the nuts? Where is the guy who wants every resident in the city of Lincoln Park to carry a gun? Where is the guy who claims out streets are not slanted in the right direction? Where are the people who receive numerous Pride violations and claim they always clean their yard after receiving a Pride ticket? Come on people. The election is less than 60 days away. Time for the nuts to come to the podium. |

Re: Residents to the podium & Fundraisers September 19, 2005
I don't need to attend any fundraisers to meet Vaslo. He is certainly no celebrity. The only functions he usually attends are the ones that have a camera for a photo opportunity, or the ones he can coordinate with his good friend Jason Alley, so he can squeeze him in an article for one of his ignorant comments. I see and hear more than an ample amount of his BS from watching and attending the council meetings. |

To each their own, but seriously, I don't know about this Primo guy. If you were to look at all of his posts on this site, I bet 90 percent would either mention how much he dislikes Vaslo or the News-Herald. I'm not really sure what you're accomplishing because every time I see your name on a post, I scan automatically for "Vaslo" or "NH" and laugh. But as I said, to each their own. You'd think one would have other things to talk about tho. You remember what they always said about the boy who picked on the girl in elementary school non-stop. It's cuz deep down, he really wanted to kiss her. |

Re: Residents to the podium & Fundraisers September 19, 2005
You are exactly right Wolverine, 90% of my posts are responses to Vaslo's campaign rhetoric. Remember though, in order to keep that 90 %, there has to be rhetoric to begin with. I wasn't able to attain that 90% before the campaign season began simply because him and his surrogates weren't flooding this website with his rhetoric. And you are also correct about my dislike for Vaslo, & our own local National Enquirer, the News Herald Rag, where twist & spin takes precedence over truth. But no, I haven't a desire to kiss Vaslo, unless it is a kiss goodbye. And Wolverine, I'm simply crushed that you don't read my posts. Not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For someone who doesn't read my posts, you sure spend an inordinate amount of time countering them. |

I don't see Primo being any different than any other member. We all have our favorite and least favorite politicians. He is not the only person on here that doesn't like Vaslo or the News Herald. At some point, you have look objectively and honestly and say, "Why do so many individuals share these opinions about Vaslo and the NH?" All I can say is that where there is smoke there is fire. |

Re: Residents to the podium & Fundraisers September 19, 2005
I have often complained about Primo's postings. I find them not only childish, but child like as well. I have done my share of criticizing Mr Vaslo, but I have always done so in an adult manner. I will state the reasons for my disagreements. Primo attacks the very character of Mr Vaslo. I find that revolting. I also resent Prino's constant attacks on the News Herald and more importantly, Mr Jason Alley. I find this young man to be an excellent reporter. The members do not agree with the story he is reporting on so they attack the man reporting it. A classic example of shooting the messenger. We all know that Primo is nothing but a pawn of Mr Brown. He rants and raves about other candidates, but worships at the alter of Mr Brown. Quite sad. This is a highly bitter individual.

Ok....don't flame me... I am just asking a question. We sometimes hear Mayor Brown shut down podium speakers because of non city related issues.... Ok...now remember...don't flame me.... I am just asking a question. How does fundraisers being pointed out during council meetings relate to City Business? Ok... AGAIN ... I am just asking a question... <as I duck behind my chair> |

Re: Residents to the podium & Fundraisers September 19, 2005
Rarely does Mr Brown stop anyone for non-city related business. He uses that chestnut only when someone goes completely off the deep end. The few times I have seen this it is when someone is irate and talking about something that has nothing to do with the city. This city related rule as well as the five minute rule goes back to the days of Mr Pelt when he would go to the podium and read the newspaper for a half hour. I think if someone really pressed the 5 minute rules while at the podium, the mayor would back down. And do not forget, someone in the audience can always yield their 5 minutes to the person at the podium. I have seen individuals who would be considered mentally imbalanced go to the podium and start talking jibberish. Currently, the city related rule usually comes up when someone is talking about a school related issue. The mayor rightfully informs the resident that the city has no authority over the school board. In all fairness, the mayor and council are pretty good about letting people talk at the podium. As long as they are behaving themselves, the mayor lets them speak. If you remember Mayor Sall, this was not always the case. |

Re: Residents to the podium & Fundraisers September 19, 2005
It's no surprise to me that you disagree. It is a rare occasion when we do agree. And by the way, it isn't the subject or title of the articles Alley writes, it's his total lack of objectivity. He IMHO does not write articles for the benefit of the readers, he writes articles for the benefit, & detriment of certain council members. No more, no less. His articles resemble carefully thought out attack ads & dictated promotional material for certain members of our council. I will agree with you Magoo, I do attack the very character of Vaslo, because it is that very character I find so revolting. You should try getting to know the man, you just might agree with my low opinion of this POS. And if I was a Brown worshiper as you suggest, I wouldn't be criticizing his boy Vaslo. They are good friends. Vaslo is like a flea is to a dog with Brown. Brown just hasn't realized he is more like a pimple on his a_ _ yet. But then we've had many accusation thrown at and between each other, you think I worship Brown, and it is ignorantly obvious, you do worship Disanto & Alley. I won't change your opinion & you won't change any of mine. One thing that has always remained consistent though, what you or any one else thinks, is of no consequence to me one way or another. So you keep up your criticisms, and I'll keep up mine, and while I'm at it I'll work at being as childlike as I can. |

Oh wait, I'm Frank Vaslo, or was that Southside that was Vaslo. Primo has called so many people Frank that I am getting confused now. You'd think that Vaslo was a chameleon the way some people accuse everyone of being him. |

That I absolutely agree with. But the difference, you see, is that the others don't spend post after post after post remidning us of it. Seriously, look at all of Primo's posts and look for either "Vaslo" or "The News-Herald." You can dislike anything, but talking about it constantly, non stop, for months on end is just really odd to me. I'd say you'd be hard pressed to find anyone with posts so predictable. |
