Anyone get a precinct by precinct count?
Was anyone at City Hall to write down the results as they came in? Precinct by Precinct? This gives a clearer picture of where the candidates stand. If gives them the direction of their campaign through November. They work the Precincts where they showed weakness. Also, with such a low turnout, some Precincts are very hard to predict from. The difference between 1st place and 10th could be a matter of four or five votes. If anyone was at city hall and wrote down numbers Precinct by Precinct, please post them here. The only way for us to get a real analysis of the election is by looking at the precincts. I thank you

Re: Anyone get a precinct by precinct count?
Several of us have those figures, Mr. Magoo. I, personally, don't have them right now...my appologies. I'm sure someone else will post them sooner or later. But you are absolutely right about 5 votes being the difference in some precincts. I don't think anyone in the election can "rest easy" based on these figures. It was a very close race, and it only represented a slight fraction of the voters. I suspect we'll see more positions shift as November draws nearer...more than in past elections. Get your waders on people, the streets of LP will flow thick with crap. It's going to get ugly.

Re: Anyone get a precinct by precinct count?
Even with the low turn out yesterday .the voters proved they will get what they want ,eventually. In 2003 they were fed up with what they had and chose to make a change ,no more monday night at the fights . Legislation instead of litigation. They picked 3 new members. Murphy and Kandes so far are trailing one of the choices . They should have done better with their years of service . Higgins the rookie is what the people like and want on the council..Apparently Vaslo and Brady have sunk to depths of the roster ,and if they continue through the next 60 days to verbally attack through the media and at meetings . their numbers will fall. The new blue team slate will be the only thing to keepthem from dead last . The voters were not impressed and do not want a slate on the council. It also may have lowered Murphy's numbers too. Requiring waders to wade through a campaign has really ticked off the voters. They all need to flood the streets with new ideas and commitments to move our city forward not stuck in the mud of a campaign and gutter politics. . I think Higgins ,Cotter,Murphy, Kandes ,and DiSanto could work with one of the remaining candidates to get the job done ,they have to be able to compromise. not flat out demand their way or no way. Brown may not run unapposed in the 2007election if things don't improve. They can help or hurt him in the next 2 years.. The voters will be watching..
