Can't tell you a date, but it closed soon after the wife and I saw a James Bond movie in there. It was the movie before the latest one. Had to of been around 2001.

I wish the LP theatre (the x-rated movie house) were reverted back to an old-time movie theatre. I used to go there and see double features for 50 cents. Downtown Plymouth has a cute old time movie theatre. |

What theater are we talking about? Not the Star in the Sears Plaza? As far as the Adult Theater is concerned, that would be an ideal spot for a comedy club or something. Rocky mentioned that he looked into buying it once (I believe it was him who said that), but that the proprietier wanted way too much money for it. If memory serves, I believe the owners of Deja Vu own the Adult Theater.

I'm referring to the one that shows x-rated flicks on Fort across from the Fort St. Brewery. |

Right, I realize you're talking about the Adult Theater. I was just curious about the "Lincoln Park 8 Theater". Is that the old Star Theater in Sears Plaza? |

That is the Penn Theater. They now have a new group Friends of the Penn who are trying to save it and buy it. www.friendsofthepenn.org . Farmington Civic is a nice small town theater as well. Growing up it was mostly the Farmington Civic, Northville's Marquis Theater and sometimes the Penn where we'd go to the movies. Northville's now has childrens plays. City of Farmington bought the Farmington Civic about 1998 or 1999. |

I agree southside i wish we could close it but i have been seing a lot of activity there, does anyone know if they are still just selling merchandise in there, last i heard they were only allowd to sell stuff and not have any dancers. It would be nice if someone would open up the old theater at sears i hate having to go somewhere else to see a movie. |
