restitution for customers.
re: piquette storage fire in detroit on june20. why is it being mailed to piquettes previous customers that piquette storage is not responsible for any items burned up in their bldg.because the fire started in the bldg. next door and the clause in the contract states they will not be responsible? why is it that the corporates always win the money and the working man gets the raw end of the deal?? i was a customer of piquette storage' for six years with them holding everything i had worked for in my life. thinking it to be safe as all the other customers. bad news came my way on june 21 that the store had burned down to the groung. years of work on my part as well as papers of slave freedom from my great-grand parents, pictures as well as beautiful things carried through slavery as well as up to the modern time by myself and my parents and ancestors gone. i am devastated. hurt in a place i cannot express to anyone unless you have experienced it for yourself. i would like anyone knowledgeable of the law to please!!! help me by telling me what i should do next.it seems like no one cares about the customers just talking about how the bldg. was a part of the ford motor co. years ago. who gives a care?? i sure don't and i'm pretty sure the other customers don't either. i haven't seen nor heard anything in the news about help for the customers ither. please excuse me if i seem angry but yes i am. i will be looking for an answer re: piquette storage asap!! thank you lincoln paper and to whoever can and does help. to all the other customers of piquettes' desasiter(ithink i spelled that wrong) anyway i wish you all the best and keep you in my prayers as i know you need it as i do. ciao'. |

cookie foster, I feel so bad that you have lost so many sentimental items from the past. I would be angry too. Have you talked with an attorney who is experienced with Insurance Companies. There may be some out there that will give you a free consultation. Again I'm for your loss.
