YLP will ask the Candidates!
Put in your one (1) most pressing question for the candidates for City Council. Of course you can ask more than one but make each a separate thread please. We will compile the questions and either myself or Robin will ask the candidates the most popular question. That is if we can get called on when they open the questions to the audience.

That's a great idea. Maybe you can have one question, Robin can have one and so on. Get as many answered as possible when more than one person has one to ask. |

What can you (elected officials) do to protect, and increase to previous levels, state revenue sharing?

While your vote once you enter the election booth is private, the council as a whole decided this year to put an indefinite roads tax on the ballot. Will you personally be voting for or against it and why? |

For the Treasurer Candidates How do you plan on collecting the Personal Property Tax? For School Board candidates What is more important to you, academics or sports? For Council Was the ERI good for the city?

To the incumbants name 2 new businesses you have actively sought , to move to Lincoln Park . if they turned you down ,please state why?

Here is a question: What will you do to lower our taxes? I have friends and family that live in other downriver communities, and they pay a lot less than we do (on a higher home value I might add). |

Allen Park has recently opened Independence Marketplace. We here in LP have an abundance of empty businesses. What plans do you have that will bring new businesses here to compete with the ones in AP.
