Cable Gal named Downriver's brightest people under 40.
The News Herald ran an article on Wednesday which lists the 20 best Downriver profesionals under 40 years of age. Quite an interesting article. One of the 20 was Mayor Brown of Lincoln Park. I sure he pulled some strings. Another was Jackie Hull. This little gal works for the cable channel. The wife and I have seen this shortcake blonde all over Lincoln Park. I must say he is cute as a button and just a powdercage of energy. She is a resident of Lincoln Park. As I said she is quite the looker. If I wasn't married and 40 years younger............ Congratulations Ms Hull. This is Cracker Jack.

Uh oh, now he knows her name. I was with Magoo and his wife during the Downriver Cruise. He say this woman with a camera crew. I think he developed a crush on her when she said hello to him and talked to him for a few minutes. Now that he knows her name I bet he will be starting threads about how great the cable channel is and what a great job "Ms Hull" is doing. |

Re: Cable Gal named Downriver's brightest people under 40.
Here is the article from page 8-E of the News Herald Comcast producer takes pride in covering entire Downriver area Jackie Hull wants to change people's minds. Smoe people perceive public access cable television programming as a wasteland. Some people grumble about their Comcast Cablevision bills. Hull can't reduce Comcast customers bills, but she does her darndest to get into the community adn present her employer in a good light as a Flat Rock based producer and public access coordinator. As far as public access, she's out to debunk those perceptions too with shows that focus on Downriver. "It's trying to put out a better quality program" Hull, 38, said. "I just don't like the idea of public access (by itself) make it more newsworthy for the community." Her "community" is really the Downriver group of communities. She's a 1984 Trenton High School Graduate, lives in Lincoln Park and covers everything in between - and then some. "I love it. I couldn't love my job anymore than I do" Hull said. "I'm so glad I came back to Comcast." While attending Eastern Michigan University (she's a 1988 Graduate), Hull interned for United Cable and Detroit's WDIV-TV (Channel 4). United Cable hired her in 1989 and she worked for the comapny that changed hands many times until 1998. She became the program diretor for Wyandotte's municipal cable service and taught video production classes at Carlson High School in Gibraltar. In 2002, Hull was hired by Comcast, which was what Downriver's evolving cable entities became. From her first cable stint through her teaching job to now, her pride and joy has been a "Quiz Bowl" show featuring 18 of the Michigan Mega Conference's high schools. She produces and directs 90 to 100 episodes a year. There have been more than 700 shows since 1992. "There are so many really nice kids who take their schooling seriously" Hull said. She also produces and directs high school sports broadcasts, productions involving the Southern Wayn County Regional Chamber. Including its monthly Legislature Forums; a program that features authors, including some who are nationall known; and programs involving Downriver personalities like state Senator Raymond Basham(D-Taylor) and state Reps. Edward Clemente (D-Allen Park) and Kathleen Law (D-Gibraltar). She also used to run "Downriver Today" a daily magazine show. One of her three nominators. colleague Steve Colwell, wrote that Hull is "shaping local television for the better" Her sister, Donna Zajac wrote that Hull counters the statements "good guys finish last" "She proves doing good business means a people first attitude that makes her a winner" Zajac wrote Co-Worker Gerald Jesion wrote that Hull has touched lives through her hard work and dedication. Hull said she's thankful to jave a job she enjoys. "I hope to continue to grow in the area as (far as) promoting stuff Downriver" she said "I'm still attached to everything I've done so far. "I feel so lucky because all those things have fallen into place" |

Oh, the way Magoo was talking I thought she was a young hottie, not a middle aged woman. He said "gal" so I presumed she was young. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |

I haven't had the pleasure so I can't lend an opinion. If Don says she's a little hottie, I will take his word for it. |

You can hear her voice too on the candidates profiles that's airing on cable TV. At the end when they talk about the roads proposal, she's the one doing the talking. |
