Re: Any been to the new Starbucks
I've never been in Starbucks. I really don't think I would like my coffee tasting like pumpkin pie. I was at my sisters and she had Amaretto and French Vanilla coffee .Didn't like either one. What's wrong with coffee tasting like coffee. I think it maybe screwing up peoples senses. There are already enough people out there claiming to be confused . The Jones Soda Company experiments w[th different flavors of soda . They came out with a Turkey and Gravy flavor. There are already too many fat people out there. Why do we have to make our beverages taste like food. What will happen to a traditional holiday dinner .Will parents hand there kids a turkey and gravy soda ,shoot some whipped cream on a pumpkin coffee, and say Happy Thanksgiving ,next month. Maybe they can find a way to get a glass of water to taste like a candy bar for next Holloween. The only positive thing I can think of is if somebody could make Fish, lamb, chicken and goats taste and smell like pork when it's cooked. Ship it to the Middle East. It would sure scare the Jihad out of the terrorists

Re: Any been to the new Starbucks
The wife and I like a plain ole cup of Joe. We do not need all the other stuff these companies come up with to take your money. And I have heard to much about Starbucks to ever consider being a customer. I would no sooner spend money at Starbucks than I would at Wal-Mart.

Re: Any been to the new Starbucks
What have you heard about Starbucks Mr. Magoo?? I am not much of a coffee drinker, other then the occasional Hot Choccolate, and that Pumpkin Spice thing at Starbucks.. I agree about Walmart, I hate that scummy company but I am not up on the Starbuck scoop? Rocky |

Starbucks has been the focus of radical groups for quite a few years now. Not too sure what it is all about. If this was the 60s I would say that Starbucks represents "The Establishment" or "The Man" http://archives.cnn.com/2000/US/11/...rbucks.vandals/ http://www.cbc.ca/national/rex/rex991201.html http://www.arc.org/C_Lines/CLArchive/story7_1_02.html http://mrzine.monthlyreview.org/hoover270705.html

Re: Any been to the new Starbucks
My wife loves Starbucks coffee. There is one at the Birch Run exit she has me stop at on the way up north so she can get a cup. I have tried it and don't find anything special about it. I can't stand "FU FU" coffee. Give me a good ole fashion cup of Maxwell House or Folgers and I'm happy. |

Starbucks will never have any of my business. Numerous groups that support our troops have gone to them for various types of donations, and they have refused. They apparently have are very much aligned with the French and their attitudes from what I have heard. |

Re: Any been to the new Starbucks
There is a rumor that Starbucks charged the rescue workers for coffee when they were at the World Trade Center. That could be an Urban Legend. Whenever there is a meeting of the WTO, it always seem to cause a riot in whatever city they are meeting in. The Starbucks always get vandalized. A few years ago they met in Windsor. Luckily Detroit did not have any Starbucks at the time. A demonstration started to turn violent, but all protesters were quickly arrested. After a night in the 1st Precinct jail, the protesters left Detroit and did not look back. The only jail in the area that is worse than the LP lockup is the 1st Precinct. That thing is Third World all the way. |

The best coffee in Lincoln Park is Bicycledon's at Al Petri's & Sons! Don uses Frankenmuth Coffee only. The Tiramisu is great! |

Re: Any been to the new Starbucks
say what you will about Starbucks, but once you get used to it you need triple the Folgers to bring it up to speed with Starbucks, of course I get to have it a lot, since a relative is a manager at one. They are extremely well trained employees and do not get to work in one of the stores till they pass a lot of tests and meet certain criteria. |

Re: Any been to the new Starbucks
It's a status thing for some people. "Hey, I just got a cuppa joe from Starbucks". Whoop-de-doo. Let's not forget the cup cost about $4.00. Give me a break. |
