I enjoy summer, but I have to say that Fall is beautiful. I like the warmth of the day, and cooler nights.

Re: It's coming!!!!!!!!!
I just love fall cider and donuts. The little holes make great targets for bow or firearms practice ,when they get old. Crumble them up when they get hard as a rock to attract Pheasant or wild turkey. DONUTS a food that spans all seasons. I love fall, and donuts

What did I say? Snowstorm Leaves Thousands Without Power POSTED: 2:48 pm EDT October 5, 2005 BILLINGS, Mont. -- Thousands of homes in eastern Montana and western North Dakota, including many in and around Billings, were without power Wednesday morning after a slow-moving snowstorm dumped large amounts of heavy, wet snow across the region. The snowfall caused trees to snap or sag into power lines in parts of Montana and western and central North Dakota, sparking the widespread outages, officials said. Blackouts also were reported in parts of northern Wyoming and in the Black Hills of South Dakota. As much as 11 inches of snow had fallen in southeastern Montana by early Wednesday. Billings had received 10.8 inches and set a record for snowfall Tuesday with 9.9 inches, National Weather Service meteorologist Tom Humphrey said. "Fall is a potentially dynamic season," he said. About 8,000 customers served by NorthWestern Energy were without electricity early Wednesday in communities in central and southern Montana, including Billings, spokeswoman Claudia Rapkoch said. Nine crews, including three tree trimming crews, were out in the Billings area alone overnight, and officials planned to assess the situation Wednesday to determine whether reinforcements from other parts of the company were needed, she said. Dan Sharp, a spokesman for Montana-Dakota Utilities Co., said customers from Miles City, Mont., to Bismarck, N.D., were without electricity, though some were being brought back online slowly. He didn't have an estimate on how many customers had been affected, but said it was in the thousands. In Miles City alone, as many as 3,000 customers were left in the dark, starting at about 1 a.m. Wednesday, he said. In Wyoming, outages were reported in Sheridan, Story, Ranchester and Dayton. Schools in a number of communities in the Black Hills were either closed or delayed because of snowfall and blackouts, officials said. Sharp said he hoped service would be restored by day's end in the affected communities MDU serves, though it could be later in the day in Miles City, where a tree branch fell on a transmission line that serves the eastern Montana town and branches fell on lines in other parts of the community. Humphrey said Miles City had received about 6 inches of snow with the storm, as of early Wednesday. The Montana Department of Transportation said blowing and drifting snow contributed to the closure of two highways in eastern Montana. U.S. Highway 12 from Miles City to the North Dakota state line was closed, as was Interstate 94 east, from Glendive to the North Dakota line. I-94 west from Mandan, N.D. to the Montana line was also closed to traffic Wednesday. "It's really treacherous - heavy, deep snow. Visibility is just really poor. It's so heavy that vehicles just can't push through it," North Dakota Highway Patrol Capt. Mark Bethke said. In Utah, the Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort received its first snow of the year Tuesday when a storm dropped 6 inches of snow atop 11,000-foot Hidden Peak. More snow was falling Wednesday. "There are still projects to be done before winter arrives, but this first snowfall has put smiles on the faces of people all around Snowbird," said Snowbird President Bob Bonar. |

Re: It's coming!!!!!!!!!
I love the Fall season. Going for drives to see the color of the trees, making it to A & W before they close for the season, kids go back to school, and beginning my list for Christmas gifts.
