Am I to read this to say that you are against raising taxes for salaries and monuments, but you would be in favor of raising taxes in order to clean and protect our neighborhoods and to maintain recreational programs?

How do you intend to do this? How can you evaluate all those families who are“struggle financially” or are just making it “day to day”? I mean, are you going to see their paychecks each week and their bills and say, oh yeah, she is having a tough time and so is he over there, and that family there, etc.? How exactly do you do this? Who’s to say that she, he and they aren’t managing their money wisely and therefore they are only getting by day to day? Exactly how will you consider the impact? What numbers will you use?

How much is this tax to be, how will it be levied and how will the funds be spent?

By what measure do you know the Lincoln Park tax payers cannot afford these proposed increases?

Re: More questions for True Blue:

The bottom line is that our City has aging infrastructure, no new development and cuts in revenue sharing from the state. If the residents want new roads, and want to ensure dependable water and sewer systems, then ultimately it falls on the residents to ante up the money
