Question for True Blue Slate regarding downtown LP
I would like to know your plans to revitalize the downtown LP area. I would guess that you all have discussed this. I'd like to hear about your goals, direction, focus, objectives -- anything that would encourage me to vote you into office. Downtown LP is a major concern to me. The way it looks now is an embarrassment. What does the True Blue Team plan to do to make some radical changes and improvements? Last edited by jujitsu50 : 09-07-05 at 4:33 pm. Re: Question for True Blue Slate members
Just curious Jujitsu, where exactly IS downtown LP? Wyandotte and AP have pretty obvious Downtown areas. I think that LP, Taylor, Southgate, Brownstown, etc. are hard pressed to call any area "Downtown" Please help me understand. TGND

Re: Question for True Blue Slate regarding downtown LP
Would Murphy, Brady and Higgins please indicate their vision and plans for downtown LP's revitalization. If any other council people read this too, please respond. I would also like to hear from the challengers - Cotter, Rutherford, McPartlin and Lemuel. This is a very important to me and to many others. |

Re: Question for True Blue Slate regarding downtown LP
Maybe you should practice what you preach Jujitsu. What are you trying to do, steal their ideas for your own campaign literature. Or better yet trying to get them to respond so your good bud Alley can lamb -baste them in the News Herald by copying their posts from this site and using their comments against them in one of his many blatantly biased articles. If I were any of them, I wouldn't be stupid enough to fall for this obvious scam. |

Re: Question for True Blue Slate regarding downtown LP
Uh .... if council people can't answer a question about their vision for the city's downtown area, they don't deserve to be in office. WHY O WHY, Mr. Primo, do you always have to think everything is a conspiracy. Can someone not ask a simple question? You sometimes worry me. Seriously. |

Re: Question for True Blue Slate regarding downtown LP
Primo speaks to me as if I am Vaslo. He never seems to get off that rant of his. What a character. The best we can do is ignore him. My question to the True Blue Team about their plans for the revitalization of LP is a question that if I were them I'd want to answer especially since gets thousands of hits per day. This would be a great forum to share their vision and convince people that they will finally do something for downtown LP. I hold all previous councils accountable for downtown LP going down the tubes. I'd like to know that if I vote for the True Blue Team that I'm going to see some major progress and results in that area. |

Re: Question for True Blue Slate regarding downtown LP
Robbie, they were all posting at the time I posed the question and the times I've bumped it. I don't think any candidate wants to take on committing to a revitalized downtown LP. Sad. |

Where is the True Blue Team anyway? They seem to be very selective in their postings.

Oh wait...they're running to collect the "hefty" salary they are paid, right?

Val Brady has posted a few times here and there, but she's been busy with campaigning, as has Tom Murphy. I have not seen Mike Lemuel or Tom McPartlin post at all yet. You are trying to stretch the truth here, Jujitsu.

Re: Question for True Blue Slate regarding downtown LP
Thanks rubberarm. At least you understood. and you're right, Mr. Myers should know what page his team is on and what their plans are. There are plenty of true blue fans on this site. Any one of these people could have alerted true blue team people that there's a question on for the true blue team. My impression is that no one wants to answer the question so the excuse that their busy campaigning is hogwash. Is there anyone out there interested in knowing what the candidates' action plan is to revitalize downtown LP? |

Re: Question for True Blue Slate regarding downtown LP
There are 5 members on the True Blue slate. 3 of them actively participate here. One of them is not running for a position that would hold any authority to revatilize downtown. So when the word "all" is used...it's not even close to being accurate. 2 out of 5 is not even a majority, much less an "all". And I say again, those 2 that comprise this infamous "all" were not posting a whole lot anyway. Cut some slack? The members of the True Blue slate are the only ones being barraged with questions on ...and they have answered most of them. The fact that they even care enough to participate here and answer any questions in the first place is enough for me to cut them some slack...wouldn't you agree? Do you see any other council members or candidates offering to answer questions here? Why not make a big issue out of that instead of the fact that some members of the True Blue slate happened to miss a few questions. I'm sure Myers is well aware of the True Blue slates ideas for the city...but perhaps he doesn't feel it's his place to speak for them? I've said this many times: They are a slate, but they are still independent candidates. Each candidate is responsible for getting themself elected. I'd wait until after the primaries...I'm sure you'll see the True Blue team to begin to participating again. But while you're busy tapping your feet waiting for them to answer, don't hold your breath to get any anwers from some of the other candidates and incumbants. |
