The Next council President!!
Who do you think the next council president will be??? My money is on Mr. Murphy I think Kandes will come in second or maybe third!! He will probablly still be on council but I don't think he will be council President. Of course if I could predict the future I probably wounld't of wasted $5 on the Lotto today!!! Rocky |

It will be between Murphy and Kandes. No one else is strong enough. Prediction: Depends on the turnout. If it is under 6,000 then Kandes will retain Council President. If it is over 6,000 then Murphy will grab it

Call me crazy if you wish, but I definately see Councilman Mario DiSanto becoming the next Council President. He may get beat up on these forums, but he has a huge Senior base (and they VOTE) Mr Kandes has rubbed most seniors the wrong way the past couple of years. I see the finish as DiSanto Murphy Brady Kandes Higgins Vaslo or McPartlin

Write it down, it will be T. Murphy unless something big happens between now and November. |

Higgins will get more votes than Brady and Kandes . Murphy will be Council President . If Brady shows her current Cellphone bills confirming the amount of calls for City Business are the same now that she is paying, her totals will be higher. Her bills should be higher because she no longer gets free city calls. Ms. Brady Has to show Vaslo was and the rest of the M/C were wrong about the cellphones.

Ok, Magoo, You are crazy. This city has enough problems right now. Di Santo is probably a good guy, and maybe even a decent politician. But, he is so difficult to understand at times, I can't help but think that may be harmful. Not too mention, he gets pretty fired up when things dontagoaheezway! And when he is fired up, it is even more difficult to make out what he is saying.

Though I have no vote in this election, if I did, it would definitely be Mr. Murphy.

Magoo, an accent is one thing. The Honorable Mr. Di Santo's English is pretty tough to decipher. As far as the rest of the things you'd rather not see in a politician, I couldn't agree with you more, well, save for the union part. |

This could be very interesting! It would detour Brown's potential of resigning as Mayor and becoming City Manager. What happens if Murphy is the Council President--and Kandas comes in not second or third. Again, this could become very, very interesting indeed. (But, it would be one way to help get rid of these self-proclaimed (or self-perceived) yes men--wouldn't it?) |

Fortunately, with the primary election being held to narrow down the candidates for city treasurer, the council members also will be on the ballot. And while the numbers won't matter until November, it at least gives all of those candidates an idea of how they're standing amongst likeable voters. And then that gives them a few months of crunch time to up their numbers even higher. |

A smart candidate gets a listing of how each Precinct voted. From September through November he consentrates his campaigning in those areas he was weakest in the Primary. He still must watch the Precincts of his strength. He doesn't want to lose them to another candidate who campaigned hard in those areas. |

Wasn't the primary much different than the actual results for the last election? Wasn't it a big shock to Jeanne and Virginia? |

There was change from the Primary to the General. Ms Hancock had made the cut in the Election but was out for the General. Ms Mondon didn't make the cut in either election. A Primary is not cut and dry. Rule of Thumb is the percentages usually tell a good story of a candidates strengths and weaknesses. The Candidates then interpret the percentages and plans their campaign accordingly. |

Honestly, I really believe Kandes will hold the top spot, but I do hope we get Jim Rutherford in there, the man has a definite love affair with our city! He cares about the city and its people!!! Remember Jim please!!!!!!!!! |
