Also another item is eliminate the cell phones from council....I wonder if Brown will give up his city paid for car .. I guess it's ok to rape our city workers by giving them a Zero Zero and give Duchane who does nothing for us...guess it's more important to give more money to an outsider liar - Duchane......where are the priorities here? |

Oh no we didn't just have a big huge ERI program to "save" the city, just to turn around and give this blowhard a raise. What has he done for this city in the months that he has been here? I see no new businesses from all of his "connections". He should give us some cash just for breathing the same air we do. Speaking of air, what is in ours that M/C think that hes' worth being re-appointed? Someone please wake me up and tell me that I was just having a bad dream that he is here.

Back on December 5th, one of our members - Sandy -- pointed out that Duchane would be reappointed AND get a raise... http://yourlincolnpark.com/lpsf...read.php?t=2556 Mayday ---- our existing city workers took a ZERO ZERO raise til 2007...... this is just the most stupidist moves this M/C has done yet. Those voting yes on this should be RECALLED or at the very least NOT REELECTED...... Gee...I guess Duchane is quite close with some of leaders that are part of the good ole boy's club, eh? |

A raise? For what? Let me go check my thread called Consider This. I'm sure there has to be evidence why he deserves a raise by now...it's been 51 hours since I challenged anyone to provide documentation of his accomplishments that havn't been refuted or recinded... brb |

It turns my stomach that he will be re-appointed and to give this big fat liar a raise is just a big ole slap to all of us taxpayers. You can bet my big hairy bum will be at city hall this Monday night looking for an explaination as to why Duchane deserves to have a raise let alone be re-appointed. |

Iheart...that's because there isn't anything!!! BTW: Is Duchane going to be required to move here? Has he purchased some bare land in Lincoln Park...and who would be doing his cement work? Also, is he trying to get a raise that would equal his salary before his raise in Sterling Heights and before he was FIRED from there? I think that amount was approximately $25k to $32k. |

Mondays meeting is by far one of the most important ones, due to that fact that I will be keeping track of who votes to re-appoint the untruthed one and also who votes to give him a raise. This will be a major influence on how I vote in November. I will also let everyone I come in contact with know how the votes go down. |

His salary in SH was 133,000 I think his salary for April to now is 82500, which is 75% of the year, 75% of his per annum salary (which would be 110,000) Add to that the "substantial Raise" and I think he might even make more here than in SH. |

The $82,500 was from April to December. 8 months pay. His new salary will be $123,750 a year or $10,312.50 a month. On the other hand, the council is about to award a new contract to Ed Z. Did they ever open the bids?

Thanks Don, I thought it was 9 months. If it was 8 months, you're right. His yearly salary would be higher, off the bat, then we add on the raise he's asking for. I do not remember bids ever being opened in regards to the City Attorney Contract. Bids must be opened in PUBLIC. I don't even know who sent in bids. If no one did, they still need to state it. Maybe no one did, and they will state it before they Reappoint Ed. |

Iheart, you're right. It was 9 months, April thru December. His salary would be $110,000 a year. But he will get "bonuses" for the ERI and other cost saving moves. I heard everything he did that saved money, he will receive a bonus. |

The new salary will be at least $110.000 I think he received his "bonuses" at the end of 2004. His 2005 salary will be $110,000 plus the total of the bonuses he received in 2005. Or at least that is what I heard. |

Is anyone even thinking how unrealistic this is? Sterling Heights is FOUR times the size of our city or 126,000 residents. Duchane was paid in excess of $113K there.....which I think was $112,999 too much. Now he is here and wants his salary to be similar? Anyone see ANYTHING wrong with this picture? Why would we pay this guy any more money? He is already racking in the dough when you calculate out salary divided by # of residents. We already pay Duchane $82,499 too much already. |

DD, let me get this straight. They ALREADY paid Duchane a bonus based on what he saved the city in the ERI? Can you please tell me what it was the city saved in the ERI, because, I swear by the skin on my very back that we were told they STILL have not figured that out. |

Boy, Duchane sure doesn't let any grass grow under his feet, when it comes to increasing his pay, does he. I can picture what he will say to deserve the raise. Well, I cut the labor force to save money, (of course no one has any idea what the ERI has cost the city) then he will say, (well look at the millage drop since I took over) of course accounting gimicks were used, nothing changed here either. Next he will threaten the city leaders if he doesn't get his raise claiming he will leave for another city with a better offer. Same Duchane we saw in SH, just a differant city. What a piece of work! |

What money was saved! the money that was saved was stuck in his pocket. LPer's you must immediately contact all of the press. This is a slow weekend for the press so they are looking for stories. Also if he receive's this raise we in Sterling Heights will start the process of recalling his lifetime paid health care by our taxpayers! |
