The City of Lincoln Park residents are represented by their elected municipal officials who are responsible for setting government policy for Lincoln Park.

First elected Council in 2003 and re-elected in 2005. Lost election in bid for 25th District state representative seat in 1998

Responsibilities of the Mayor

The Mayor is responsible for preparing, with recommendations from our City Manager, and reviewing the annual city budget of which our fiscal year is from July 1st thru June 30th. The Mayor then presents this budget to the City Council for their review and vote.

The City of Lincoln Park's government is a Weak Mayor / Council form of government which means that the Mayor has no veto authority and appointments are made by both the Mayor and Council Members except for the Public Safety and Housing Commissions which are by Mayor appointment only.

Mayoral Duties Include:

• Representing the City at Official Functions
• Appointing members to several citizen boards and commissions
• Approving all bonds, notes, contracts, and council-authorized items.
• Chairing the Council Meetings as per the Robert's Rules of Order.
